Joseph Anthony Schroeder's Obituary
Joseph Anthony Schroeder was born in Chicago on September 2, 1950 and passed away peacefully on January 20,2024 after living an abundant life, thanks to God and his lovely wife Lorraine. He leaves behind his wife Lorraine Di Maggio Schroeder, his brothers and sisters Antonette Bislew (husband John) Peter Schroeder (wife Pam) Mary Rossi (husband Dick) Kathy King (husband Rick) and Tony Schroeder (wife Andrea.) Joseph is also survived by his children Shane Schroeder (wife Karen) Jennifer Margaret Schroeder, Jason Schroeder (wife Bridgette) and was blessed by his four grandchildren James Schroeder, Sharen Schroeder, John Schroeder and Ayden Schroeder. Joseph was supervisor of computer operations for Walgreens Intercom for 15 years. He was then called by God into the ministry and served as a Pastor for 30 years, first as Senior Pastor of Gulf Coast Tabernacle later renamed Gulf Coast Outreach) in Englewood, FL then as Executive pastor at Church on the Rock in Palmetto and finally as Campus Pastor at Church on the Rock in Sarasota, FL. In his later years he wrote his book, "My Little Miracle Story" and then went on to assist several other aspiring authors to write their books. Joseph proudly had dual citizenship with the United States and his Father Anthony's homeland of Luxembourg. He traveled with his wife to Pakistan on five dangerous missions trips. He also ministered in Israel, Mexico Spain and Italy. He was widely known for his signature message "Overcoming the Fear of Man." He served as Fleet Chaplain for the Bradenton Yacht Club for 23 years and was awarded the prestigious Admiral's Hat for distinguished service. A celebration of Life Service will be held on February 3, 2024 at 11:00 am. The service will take place at Skyway Memorial Gardens' Mausoleum Chapel located at 5200 US Hwy 19 N Palmetto FL 34221
