Karen Decker's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Karen Lisa Decker of Bradenton, FL on January 5, 2025, at the age of 63. Although Karen (Mom, Nanny) is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.
Karen was born in Bradenton, FL to Edgar Hopkins and Mary Dossey Hopkins on March 14, 1961. She attended Southeast High School. Karen was a babysitter/Nanny to lots of children for many years. She loved and had a special bond with each of those children. Karen was a loving Mother, Wife, Nanny, Sister, and Friend with a beautiful soul who would help anyone. She truly had a heart of gold. Karen loved spending time with her family. Family get-togethers for holidays or any occasion, delighted her.
Karen is survived by her husband, Ricky Decker; son, Ryan and Lindsay Decker; brother, Victor Hopkins; sister, Sharon Tison; grandchildren, Dakota Jibson, Lenzie Fershin, Mary and Bianca Farnsworth, Devan Trotter, Tyler, Kylee, and Mollie Decker; and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Edgar and Mary Hopkins, and daughter, Brandy Nicole Decker.
A service will be held at Skyway Memorial Gardens 10 AM Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Skyway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.
