I’m so sorry to hear about Karen’s passing ! Hollie I love you guys if you need anything let me know .
Karen was always mom’s favorite of us 3 girls. She was the middle child and there was always something special about her. She had a way with animals that was almost spooky. When we were in grade school at Maytown, there was a talking crow came to town. It hated or tortured many of our school mates as well as the principal. Anybody that it didn’t like was followed and pecked on the head. But, as far as I know, Karen was the only one that it liked, and every morning it would sit on her windowsill and yell “Karen, Karen.” It was almost like it wanted her to get out of bed and spend time with it. On the days that we walked home, approx 1 mile, when he saw her, he would follow us all the way home. There were a lot more instances where she was the only one that certain animals would only befriend. She was one of a kind, that’s for sure. I loved her more than she knew. She had a mind of her own and she expected everything to go her way, but sometimes it didn’t. She will never know how much she will be missed.
