Kim Lorraine Marek Kimbler's Obituary
Kim Lorraine Marek Kimbler went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 after a long, very rare illness. Kim was born October 21, 1958, in Fort Jackson, SC. She was admitted into ICU for a month and during her stay, the family and many others continued to pray for her recovery while the wonderful doctors and nurses put forth unending effort to bring her back to health. She was just too sick. She leaves behind her most loving husband of 20 years, Tim, her mother, Sandra Marek Camb, step-father, James Camb, a sister, Tammy Jo Marek, a brother, Robert (Bobby) Marek from Atlanta, a nephew, Josh Sprague, a step-daughter, Kelly Binns (Erik), a granddaughter, Haylee and second cousins, Jean and Charles Knopp. She also adored her Little Shih tzu, Dolly, who she called her baby girl. Kim worked at GTE and Verizon for many years and The JOY FM radio station for a short time and finally, enjoyed being a wife to her husband and caring for their home on a full time basis. Her dear husband was her whole life. She enjoyed visiting their second home and going to the Star Parties with Tim and their star-gazing friends in Chiefland. Kim was such a "giver" and loved doing things for others. She kept up with her high school friends and loved to talk on the phone. Kim was an animal lover and would bring blankets, towels, food and anything she could find to help out animals. She loved life, loved the Lord, and was a born again Christian. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 14, 2:00pm, at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 720 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, FL 34205.
