Kurt Alfred Brandenburg, aged 86, passed away on November 5, 2024, in St. Petersburg, FL. Born on February 5, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was a respected Air Force veteran who served his country with distinction.
Kurt is survived by his loving spouse of 62 years, Susan (Marsh) Brandenburg; sons, Eric Brandenburg and his wife Teresa, and Andrew Brandenburg and his wife Carol; grandsons, Matthew, Seth, Ryan, and Eric; and great-grandchildren, Caleb, Conner, and Chase. His family remembers him as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who brought joy and guidance to their lives.
An avid sailor and a talented carpenter, Kurt found peace and fulfillment in sailing his own boat and creating beautiful carpentry works. His skills and passions allowed him to enjoy many serene days on the water and in his workshop, sharing his crafts with family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 11 am at Skyway Memorial Gardens, located at 5200 US Hwy 19 N, Palmetto, FL. The services are being coordinated by Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto, FL.
Kurt's life was marked by his service to his country, his love for the sea, and his craftsmanship. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
