Leonardo Rivera-Salazar's Obituary
Leonardo Rivera Salazar was born on November 9th , 1957 in Tierras Blancas, Michoacán Mexico and passed away in the comfort of his home with his loved ones present by his side on February 9th, 2025 in Bradenton, FL. After a long battle of cancer he passed away at the age of 67, now joining his Dad, Son and his two brothers in their eternal home.
Leonardo was the Son to Eloiza Salazar and Doroteo Rivera where they grew as a family and was a sibling of 9 total. He was also a beloved husband to Irma Melgoza Rivera where they later on had 9 beautiful children and also was the best grandfather and great grandfather to all his grandchildren. Leonardo decided to move to Florida where his family grew and later on worked in the business of being a boat finisher for 20 plus years and unfortunately retired at the age of 61 due to cancer. He was loved by everyone touching many hearts did not have a single bone of hatred. Most importantly always was there for everyone Enjoying everyone’s company always.
You will be missed but never forgotten. You will be known as a warrior for fighting for so long, giving us that extra time to spend those last moments with you.

We will hold a Ceremony at the Skyway Memorial Funeral Home 6:00 pm Tuesday February 18 at Skyway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm.

Leonardo Rivera Salazar nació el 9 de noviembre de 1957 en Tierras Blancas, Michoacán México y falleció en la comodidad de su hogar con sus seres queridos presentes a su lado el 9 de febrero de 2025 en Bradenton,FL. Después de una larga batalla contra el cáncer, falleció a la edad de 67 años y ahora se une a su padre, su hijo y sus dos hermanos en su hogar eterno.
Leonardo era hijo de Eloiza Salazar y Doroteo Rivera, donde crecieron como familia y era hermano de 9 en total. También fue el amado esposo de Irma Melgoza Rivera, donde luego tuvieron 9 hermosos hijos y también fue el mejor abuelo y bisabuelo de todos sus nietos. Leonardo decidió mudarse a Florida, donde creció su familia y luego trabajó en el negocio de rematador de barcos durante más de 20 años y desafortunadamente se jubiló a la edad de 61 años debido a un cáncer. Era amado por todos, tocando muchos corazones, no tenía ni un solo hueso de odio. Lo más importante es que siempre estuvo ahí para todos. Disfrutando siempre de la compañía de todos.
Te extrañaremos pero nunca te olvidaremos, serás conocido como un guerrero por luchar durante tanto tiempo y darnos ese tiempo extra para pasar esos últimos momentos contigo.
