Lois Priscilla Stokke's Obituary
We are sad to announce the passing of Lois Priscilla Wolbert Stokke of Palmetto, FL. She died at the age of 69 on July 16, 2022. Lois passed away surrounded by her loved ones, after a courageous, long battle with cancer.
Lois was born on September 29, 1952 in Milaca, Minnesota. She was the youngest child of Lewis and Charlotte Wolbert. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years; Kurt, brothers Warren (Mary Lou) and Marlyn (Marlys), Sister Carol, and brother in law, Lester. She was the loving mother of Michelle, Michael and Kyle (Jillien), and deeply cherished her grandchildren, Derrick, Thomas, Britni, Michael, Jackson, Mckinley, Pierce, Ford, Kennedy, Reagan, Carter, Monroe, Tyler Grace, Karsen. Kollin and great-grand daughter; Ember. Lois was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister Arlyss and brother-in-law Paul.
Lois grew up on a family farm in Oglivie MN, where she graduated from High school. In 1974, Lois (and first husband) Mike, Michelle and baby Michael moved to Tampa. This is where she found her love of the Sun and the Sand. After moving several times around the United States, she finally moved back to Florida in 2003 with husband Kurt and son Kyle.
During her working years, Lois worked in various restaurants like the Officers Club in Tampa, and Tacoma Country Club, where she met Kurt. Realizing she wanted to better her life, she studied to become a massage therapist. After building a successful practice over 15 years, she gave up her career to enjoy life as a stay at home wife, mother, and grandmother. She would go to the beach as often as she could to soak up the sun, enjoyed church with her friends, was an avid baker and was well known for her many delicious treats she made for her friends and family. All of her grandkids loved to spend time with their grandma, as she always played games and spoiled them treats and goodies. Everyone that knows her, loves her. She is already missed dearly.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life Service at First Baptist Church of Palmetto, FL on Tuesday July 26th, 2022 at 11am.
