Lucille "Lou" J. Lafleur's Obituary
Lucille "Lou" Lafleur, 76. of Palmetto, FL passed away August 20, 2016. Lou was born in Lincoln, RI to the late; Josephat and Yvonne Lafleur. She moved to Manatee County in 1993, from NY. Lou worked as a lab supervisor manufacturing computer chips in NY. Once she moved to Florida, she worked as a health care worker and foliage designer for residential customers around Longboat Key.. Lou enjoyed golfing, going to the casino, fishing and taking rides. She and companion, Pat Peterson enjoyed their motorhome and traveled across 48 states. Their favorite spots included The Outer Banks, Alaska, Washington, Calvary, British Columbia, Yellowstone, Niagara Falls, Kansas City, Pocono Mountains, Arizone, Smoky Mountains, Glacier Mountains, the Arches. Lou was of the Catholic Faith.
Lou is survived by her companion of 16 years, Pat Peterson, siblings; Sandra Lafleur, Lorraine (Ron) Scotland and nieces, Louise DeNault and Denise Deguire, dogs; Mimi and Ebony. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Normand Lafleur and Doris Lacom.
A Celebration of Lou's life will be held at a future date and will be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lou's honor may be made to Pat Peterson for a memorial garden to be planted at one of their favorite locations. 8515 US 41 N., lot 212, Palmetto, FL 34221.
