Lynda Lee Lineberger's Obituary
Lynda Lee Lineberger
March 6, 1945 - June 29, 2024
Lynda (Lyn) Thum Lineberger was born in New Brunswick, NJ, on March 6, 1945 to Elmer and Vera Thum and later moved to Manatee County, Florida, with her parents and brothers at six months of age. Lyn led a life in which others were always put before herself, as seen through her volunteer activities with her children’s schools and their 4-H Clubs. She also loved caring for her home, where she could often be seen zooming around on her golf cart, tending to her 2.5 acres of land.
Lyn not only had an exceptional heart but also an artistic talent, shown through her work as a seamstress. She owned a bridal shop for decades, aptly titled “The Memory Maker,” where she did just that—helped others create happy memories that would last a lifetime.
Lyn’s greatest passion in life, however, was her family. She was an incredible mother and one of the most beloved grandparents any child could know. She often described her grandkids as the light of her life and was affectionately called “Gran” by those who knew her best.
Lyn will be missed dearly.
She is survived by 3 daughters:
Kim (Wes) Crockett, Cheri (Rob) Greenhalgh and Terasa (Mike) Katsaros; 3 grandchildren: Marissa Moats (Jarrod Fisher), Dristin Hughes MD (Dana Mathewson), Nick (Destiny) Katsaros; 2 great grandchildren: Emmy and Dax Fisher; a sister-in-law: Jeanne Thum; 3 nephews: Kevin (Syndi) Lineberger, Tim Thum and Steve (Cindy) Thum; Her beloved dog Zoey. Lyn was preceded in death by her parents and her 2 brothers James (Fuzzy) Thum and Kenneth Thum.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, July 27th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at her home 3314 65th Street East, Bradenton, FL 34208
