Maria Angelica Mares de Pecina's Obituary
Maria Angelica Mares de Pecina, 62, of Bradenton, Florida passed away October 7, 2016, with family by her side. Maria married Felix Pecina in Mexico 45 years ago. They moved to the United States 23 years ago. Maria was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her work ethic was impeccable. She worked for Pacific Tomato Growers as a fruit grader for 20 years, sometimes working 100 hours a week. When Maria wasn't working, she was with her family, cooking large delicious meals. Tidiness was of utmost importance and kept her busy.
Maria Mares de Pecina is survived by her husband, Felix Pecina, sons: Alfredo Pecina, Roberto (Blanca) Pecina, Jose Antonio (Maribel) Pecina, daughters: Erika Pecina, Christian Pecina, brothers: Javier Mares, Jose Mares, sisters: Graciela Mares, Dolores Mares, Asuncion Mares, 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lorenzo and Elvira Mares Azpetia, brother: Antonia Mares and sister, Marianna Mares.
Visiting hours will be Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 2:00-6:00 pm at Skyway Memorial Funeral Home. Mass (Spanish) will begin at 4:30 pm.
