Marie S Banck's Obituary
Marie S. Banck, of Bradenton, FL, after 101 years, completed her earthly journey and was called home on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Born January 6, 1921 in Buffalo, NY, she was one of nine children born to the late Joseph and Caroline Maeder. In support of our country during WWII, she worked as a forklift operator in an ammunition factory in NY. She met and married Edwin H. Banck. Married one day shy of 61 years, they never stopped dating each other. Together, while raising their five children, they spent time together traveling the world. Some of their favorite destinations included Germany and Egypt and closer places like New York and Florida. She and her husband enjoyed, competed, and placed in several ballroom dancing competitions and bowling leagues. Marie took great pride in being a wife, mother grandmother, and great-grandmother (GG). She graciously hosted every holiday, Thanksgiving being her favorite, never disappointing family with the best stuffing and homemade cheesecake. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; a daughter, Linda Banck; and seven of her siblings.
She will be remembered and missed by her children, Edward Banck, Sandy Cavalieri (Paul Heller), JoAnn (Tom) Beaver, Bobby (Alison) Banck; her 9 grandchildren; her 12 great-grandchildren and her sister, Catherine Warych and so many special nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto, Florida and a Memorial Service will be held in June (please check back to website for date and times).
