Mrs. Marie Jean-Pierre's Obituary
Marie Jean-Pierre, of Sarasota, Florida passed away peacefully on June 7, 2016. Marie was born in LaGonave, Haiti on February 15, 1957, to the late: Ilophene and Clemence Lamber Alemy. She moved to the United States in 1985. Marie met Wilner Jean-Pierre at church in Fort Pierce, Florida and married July 26, 1986. They moved to Sarasota in September of 1996. Marie was a woman of strong faith, a woman of service to the Lord, as well as to others. She was an active member of First Haitian Church of the Nazarene in Bradenton, where her husband, Wilner serves as Senior Pastor. Marie was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to all. She is deeply missed.
Marie Jean-Pierre is survived by her husband, Wilner Jean-Pierre, sons; Wendell Jean-Pierre of Orlando, Nathan Jean-Pierre, Boaz Jean-Pierre, Theophile Jean-Pierre, each of Sarasota, daughters; Sherline Alemy and Ketsia Jean-Pierre, of Tampa, Willene Dessources, Nerlande Cineus, Juliette Jean-Pierre, Shanice Jean-Pierre, all of Sarasota, Melyn Paulena, of Fort Pierce, grandchildren; Harry Josiah Dessources, Noah Brandon Dessources and Neriah Cineus. Step grandchildren Andriana Dorsanvil, Jordan Dorsanvil, Aniya Sanon, Elijah Paulena, Kyla Paulena and Kaliyah Paulena. Marie also has many sisters, brothers and other family members.
A viewing will be held Friday, June 17 at First Church of the Nazarene, 1616 59th St, Bradenton. The family times are private. Friends and public are invited to come between 7:00-9:00 pm. Another viewing at the church will be held Saturday, June 18 from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
The Funeral Service at the church will begin at 10:00 a.m. with entombment to follow at Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto.
