Martha Anne Taylor's Obituary
Martha Anne (nee Clyatt) Taylor, 93, of Old Town, Florida and formerly lifelong resident of Manatee County passed away on June 25, 2016. Martha was born in Terra Ceia Island on April 9, 1923, to the late; William Clyatt, Sr. and Mary Ethel Hubbard Clyatt. She graduated Palmetto High School. Martha worked as a bookkeeper her entire working life, with businesses such as Manasota Memorial Park, Florida Flight Academy, March of Dimes, United Way and Manatee County Lumber. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading, and working crossword puzzles.
Martha Ann Taylor is survived by her sons; Michael A. Taylor, of Costa Rica, Herbert E. (Dona) Taylor, of Bradenton, Charles R. (Dawn) Taylor, of Gainesville, John R. (Lori) Taylor, of Old Town, sister, Margaret McLaughin, of Bradenton, 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Charles W. Taylor, daughter, Patricia M. Snyder Taylor, brother, William Clyatt, Jr. and sister, Mary Hightower.
A Celebration of Life Service gathering will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 in the glass chapel of Skyway Memorial Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Skyway Memorial Gardens following the service.
