Mary Ann Fitzpatrick's Obituary
72, of Tampa, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at Memorial Hospital. Born in New York, she moved to Florida in 1972. She was a USAF nurse during the Vietnam War. She worked as a registered nurse at Tampa General and Memorial Hospital. She was a very active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was professed as a Secular Franciscan Order on Feb. 9, 2009 in the fraternity of St. Michael the Archangel. She was an animal lover and a champion swimmer. She visited the sick and infirmed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin A. and Mary A. Fitzpatrick; aunts, Dorothy Stephens, Ann Fitzpatrick Smith; uncles, Jack, Walter, Vincent, and Leonard Kissell. She is survived by her companion, Robert E. Bickenbach; her spiritual son, John V. Williams, o.f.s.; and many friends. A Visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 22, from 7-9 pm, with a Franciscan Wake at 8 pm, at Blount & Curry - MacDill Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 23, at 11 am, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4518 S. Manhattan Ave. Burial will follow at Skyway Memorial Gardens in Bradenton.
