It is with great sorrow as I write this piece to hear of Max Brammer's passing early this year. My heart felt condolences to Max's immediate family members and relatives far and wide. Max was a fatherly figure to many of us here in Papua New Guinea whilst doing missionary work at Kudjip Nazarene Hospitial and so was his wife Mirriam. I remember as a child my mother would take us to visit Max and Mirriam on Sunday's for church service. Max would place me on his lap while we had lunch together after church service at their home. It breaks my heart to know of his passing and his wife Miriam in 2017. Until we meet again, May his lovely soul rest in eternal peace..

and thats a good thing. In awe of the life you led and the age you achieved filthy on the

Max and Miriam were our adopted grandparents when they lived in Kansas City. We tried so hard to get them to stay in KC for our own selfish reasons but know their desire was to head to Florida. Max and Miriam are the people I use as an example of true Christians; faithful servants, true to their word, living by example. Today there are so many charlatans, and most of us fall way short, but not Max & Miriam. They are reunited once again at home and have been rewarded for their lifelong faithfulness. Rest in eternal peace.

My Dear Uncle Max,

First off, I am so happy that I was able to attend your 90th Birthday celebration in Bradenton, FL, as this is a happy way to remember you. Thank you to Aunt Barbie Carpenter for arranging that.

I have so many fond memories of you and my sweet Aunt Mim going back in time. I remember being visited by you both at our home in Ellisville, MA, having you both to my home in Florida for Thanksgivings and other events, both of you attending my daughter Lauren's wedding in 2007, visiting you at your home in Bradenton, so many times, over the years with my Mother Elaine and my daughters Lauren & Diana. So many special moments that I will always cherish.

I always enjoyed your Australian spunk and wit Uncle Max. You are a sweet and gentle soul. Having you and Aunt Mim no longer in my life is the closing of a life chapter for me. I will miss you. Happy travels to you. Sending much love to you. Marlene Poole

I shared many pleasant visits in Florida with Max and, my beloved sister, Mimi. The 3 of us would take walks together around their Village. And then have tea and sweet treats in their cozy home. So nice to recall those happy times. RIP Max.

Max was always an outside boy nothing better than getting down and touching the magic red soil in central Australia or the heavier black soil down south in Croydon, Victoria where as a young man grew flowers and vegetables, he was happy just being outside in the sunshine encouraging his flowers to bloom and vegetables to produce.
Following a sad period in his life Max flew to Papua New Guinea to try and plan his future, seeking a new path old friends were at hand to help him achieve this so with thanks the Rose family whom Max always admired, their friendship always willingly given, stood by Max encouraged and helped him to find the path to his his new beginning.
Max loved working on the coffee plantation and his smile returned once more, he was happy and content with the decisions made and help given to him by family and friends most dear to him.
Any injuries he received no matter how small, was a excellent excuse to attend the hospital where in due time he fancied a certain young lady called Miriam who was later to become his beloved wife. They were so content with their lives and each other it was delightful to witness this devoted couple so much in love working tirelessly for and with their good friends and the people of PNG whom they were privileged to serve.
Speaking with Max the day before he went to join Miriam, I remember his laugh when I recalled his favourite AFL football team, Collingwood also called the Magpies he loved that team and never forgot them.

Goodnight Max, you will be remembered long so rest in peace my dear brother-in-law,
you fought to the end the red and gold sunset still glows across the Bay for you and those left behind
