Mildred Powell Taylor's Obituary
Mildred Powell Taylor, 91, of Bradenton, FL, passed away March 19, 2026 at Sarasota Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mildred was born July 23, 1934 in Oneco, FL, the daughter of Dale Owen and Eva (Urquhart) Powell. She married Daniel J Taylor, July 4, 1952 in Palmetto, FL.
Mildred retired from a career as a cafeteria assistant at Harley Middle School. As a younger woman, Mildred had raised many infants for other young working mothers within her community. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
During her leisure she would crochet blankets and afghans. Mildred also enjoyed playing card games and dominoes.
Surviving are her children, Daniel John Taylor (Susan) of San Antonio, TX, Dale Roach (Michael) of Bradenton, FL, Danette Clawson (Larry) of Dayton, NV, David Taylor (Deniece) of Powder Springs, GA, Darrell Taylor (Michele) of Sarasota, FL, Dayne Taylor (Michelle) of Holly Springs, NC; sister, Laura Hagood of Columbus, GA; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel and her parents.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Skyway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the mausoleum chapel. Cremation service will follow. Mildred’s cremated remains will be buried next to her husband, Daniel J Taylor, at Skyway Memorial Gardens at a later date.
