Modine Brown's Obituary
Modine Brown, 86, entered the gates of heaven on February 26, 2022. Modine was born on July 24, 1935 in Manatee County to JD and May Skipper. She married the love of her life WR “Dub” Brown on September 2, 1951. She was a member for 70 years of Riverlife Church formerly Bradenton Church of God. Modine was an award winning florist and owner of Aunt Helens Flowers Shop and worked for Josey’s Poseys until she retired. Modine enjoyed singing, going to the beach, four wheeling, and especially her high heels. She loved her family, her church, and made a friend everywhere she went. Modine was proceeded in death by her loving husband WR “Dub” Brown, parents, and sisters: Betty Brown, Peggy Purvis, and Pat Sparks. Left to cherish the memory of Modine are her children: Terry Brown and his wife Debbie, Stephanie Jolly; grandsons: David Brown and his wife Krystal, and Andy Brown and his wife Jennifer; great grandchildren: Mathew, Bethanie, Zachary, Hunter, Madelynne, and Hagen, and along with a host of other family and friends.
A visitation will be Thursday March 3, 2022 at Riverlife Church 1012 57th St E, Bradenton, FL 34208 from 6-8pm with a service Friday March 4, 2022 beginning at 10am.
Interment at Mansion Memorial Cemetery at 2pm on Friday March 4, 2022.
