Nancy Rose's Obituary
Nancy Josephine (Gioranino) Rose passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025 in Sarasota, FL, after a six-month battle with gallbladder cancer.
Nancy grew up in West Springfield, Massachusetts, where she lived until she started her family on Cape Cod in Wellfleet with her then husband, Steve Rose. She was an incredible mother to her kids, Eric and Raimi.
The next chapter of her life brought her to Sarasota, Florida, where she could enjoy her love for the beach year-round. Here, her family grew with her daughter-in-law, Kelly Rose, son-in-law, Chris Warren, her grandchildren who she adored more than anything in the world; Brody, Johnathan, Taylor, and Blake, and their bonus grandfather, Charlie Chrenko. The family unexpectedly lost Charlie in the middle of her cancer treatments, but we will never forget their love and specifically, how much they loved their grandchildren. They went to every sporting event and concert, and were always thinking of new adventures to take the kids on.
The most important thing to Nancy was family. She always brought everyone together, cooked crazy amounts of food, made sure every holiday was so special, and created an overall feeling of warmth that will forever go unmatched. Throughout her lifetime, she acquired a constant collection of friends who she met from all over, who felt (and still feel) like a family of their own.
Nancy will be greatly missed, but the memories will live forever. We just know you’re on a beach somewhere, reconnected with loved ones. We love you so much.
“To another life, somewhere in the sun.”
