"Nancy" Doris Wilson 's Obituary
WILSON, Doris (Nancy) 74, entered into the arms of Jesus on February 12, 2016. She was born in May 22, 1941 in Staunton, Virginia to parents Raymond and Faye Lynn. In August 18, 1962, Nancy married Reverend Wendell C. Wilson and served as a Pastor’s Wife in several states including Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Florida. She has been the Vice President of Loving Hands Ministries, based in Bradenton, since 1984.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother to many, maw maw, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Wendell Wilson, children Steve Wilson, Kimberly Wilson Dodson (Dan), Vicki Wilson Dewitt, Christopher Wilson (Jennifer), and Joseph VanBlarcom (Pam); 18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 3 brothers; and 9 in-laws; and a host of Loving Hands sons in the faith. She is preceded in death by 1 sister and 2 brothers.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday February 16th at Happy Gospel Church 1915 53rd Avenue East, Bradenton 34203. Funeral services will begin at 11 am on Wednesday February 17th at Happy Gospel and will conclude with interment in Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of this great lady of faith to Loving Hands Ministries, PO Box 1157, Bradenton, FL 34206.
