Neva L Skinner's Obituary
Neva Lucile Skinner, at 97 years of age went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 29, 2020. Neva was born in Adams County, Decatur, Indiana on November 3, 1923 to Amos and Salome Zimmerman. She grew up attending the West Missionary Church in Berne, Indiana. Neva spent most of her life as a missionary serving her Savior for more than 30 years in Chile and Bolivia, South America. Neva also enjoyed singing in her church choir, reading the Bible, teaching children in Sunday school, and was known as a fabulous hostess for the youth and adult activities. Neva was a strong, kind woman, who had an infectious smile.
Neva was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd C. Skinner. Neva is survived by children: Marilyn Lucile Teakell, Carolyn Sue Thomas and husband John, Avelyn Ruth Lichtenwalmer and husband Steve, and Timothy Boyd Skinner, plus numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday January 9th at Skyway Memorial Gardens in N. Palmetto FL. A memorial service will take place in Milton, FL at a later date when it is safe for family and close church friends to gather again.
