Nora M Adams' Obituary
Nora M. Adams, 88, of Palmetto, Florida passed away February 12, 2016. Nora was born in Snead Island, Florida to the late; Asa H. and Laura (Hopper) Pillsbury. Nora attended high school at Forest Lake Academy in Orlando then furthered her studies in nursing, receiving her LPN licensure. She fell in love with Donald Paul Adams, married and began their family. They moved to Nebraska for a couple of years, only to return to their home of Manatee County. Nora retired from Manatee Memorial Hospital after 30 years of dedication. She went into private duty nursing where she continued to share her love of caring for others. Nora’s role in life was that of wife, mother and caregiver. She was an active member of Seventh Day Adventist Church of Palmetto. Nora will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Until we meet again…we love you.
Nora is survived by her daughters; Donna Bentley, of Palmetto Carmen (David) McIlwaine, of Palmetto, sister, Florence Vance, of Floral City, FL, grandchildren; Zackariah (Keri) Bentley, Christal (Brian) Stovall, Lorena Bentley, Katelyn McIlwaine and great grandson, Asa Slager. Nora was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 41 years, Donald P. Adams, their son, Harmon “Buddy” Adams (2007) and her sister, Rosa Lee Pillsbury Lee.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 2:00 pm -3:00 pm at Seventh Day Adventist Church 3307 10th St. West, Palmetto. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm.
