Patricia Ann Goeller's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved and awesome mother, Patricia A. Goeller (Sidebotham), on December 22, 2025, in Sarasota, Florida, at the age of 97. Patricia was a woman of unwavering faith, a source of endless strength, and the heart of our large family—as well as a mother to all.
Patricia was born in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Edward and Athalyne Sidebotham. She dedicated her life to her family and her faith. In April 1948, she married her beloved husband, Francis “Frank” Goeller, who preceded her in death in 1988. She was also preceded in death by her eldest granddaughter, Michelle (Bobby) George Frost, and her brother, Gary (Barbara) Sidebotham.
A longtime and devout member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Columbus, Ohio, Patricia found immense joy in prayer and strength in Scripture. Her life was a testament to her Christian values, which she instilled in her children through kindness, compassion, and an unyielding trust in God’s plan.
Her legacy of love and resilience will forever be cherished by her eight surviving children: Chuck (Dana) of Sarasota, FL; Dan (Ron) of Columbus, OH; Susan (Paul) George of Galloway, OH; Kathleen of Sarasota, FL; Robert (Mary) of Westerville, OH; Theresa of Sarasota, FL; Michael (Lisa) of Sarasota, FL; and Patrick (Rhonda) of Grove City, OH. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the many close friends of The Grove community and the wonderful staff at Lifecare of Sarasota for their compassion and care.
A Mass will be held at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio, on Mom’s Birthday, April 11 at 11:00 a.m. The family invites all who knew and loved Patricia to join them in honoring her memory and rejoicing in the promise of everlasting life. Following the Mass, the Rite of Committal and burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity or organization meaningful to her, such as the Salesians of Don Bosco or the American Cancer Society. The family also asks that you hug a loved one, sing, dance, and say a prayer in honor of this great, loving mother.
We will carry her memory in our hearts forever and find comfort in the hope of Christ’s resurrection and the assurance that we will one day be reunited in God’s eternal kingdom.
