Patricia Ruth Peebles' Obituary
Patricia Ruth Peebles, 93, of Bradenton, FL passed away August 1, 2024. She was born on August 18, 1940 in Akron, OH to Damon and Ruth (Bryant) Slawter. Raised in Akron, Patty spent many years in Greenville, PA where she was a longtime legal secretary. She was a participating member in the Christian Clown Society where she enjoyed spreading joy and smiles. She moved to the Bradenton area in 1996 where she worked several interesting jobs until she was forced to retire at 90 due to Covid. Patty enjoyed her friends at Heritage Park where she was a member of the Red Hat Society. Survivors include her daughter, Karen (Ken) Ammons; brother, Gerald 'Jerry' Slawter; grandchildren, Kendra (Andrew) Roark and Kory (Alexandra) Ammons; great grandchildren, Penelope and Mitchell Roark; nieces and nephew Becky (Sonny) Shively, Erie PA, Cheryl Slawter and David Slawter both of Akron, OH. and many good friends /neighbors of Pebble Springs, Pennsylvania, and Ohio who stayed with her until the end. A memorial service will be held from 1-3pm on Sunday, August 18 at Skyway Memorial Funeral Home, 5200 US Hwy 19 N, Palmetto, FL. All are welcome.
