Philomena V Schob's Obituary
Philomena V Schob, 85, of Bradenton, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Manatee Memorial Hospital. Born April 6, 1936 in Swissvale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Alda (Capaccione) Abbate. She graduated class of ’54 from Homestead High School. She worked at the Switch & Signal in Swissvale PA for her first job after graduation. After marrying in 1956 and moving to Florida in 1959, she graduated Manatee Vocational with her cosmetology degree. She pursued a two-year degree in nursing and completed various banking classes. She enjoyed her position as a bank teller with Crossland Savings for many years forging strong ties in the community. She enjoyed reading and Christmas holiday with family.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, William Schob, and her sister, Frances Hines and her brother, Frank Abbate.
She will be remembered and missed by her children, David W. (Terry) Schob, Marana Davidson and William D. (Jennifer) Schob; her grandchildren, Danielle, Greg, Brandon, Krysten, Ryan, and Lauren; her great-grandchildren, Hayden, Jarred, Ashlyn, Dylan, Colin, Ted, Sam, Aubrey, and Anniston.
Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian burial 10AM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3100 26th St.,W. Bradenton with Fr. Rafal Ligenza officiating. Inurnment will follow at Skyway Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Skyway Memorial Funeral Home. www.skywaymemorial.com.
