Rafael Vazquez's Obituary
Rafael Vazquez, 59, of Bradenton passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Born in Mexico, he was the son of the late Jesus Cruz and Cleotilde (Quijada) Vazquez. He married his best friend, Maria I Garcia and together they moved to the United States. Rafael worked as a welder for Tropitone Furniture Company until he retired. He took care of himself by faithfully working out at the gym and enjoyed caring for his vehicles. Rafael proudly became a citizen of United States on February 27, 2015.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by some of his siblings, Reymundo Vazquez and Consuelo Vazquez.
He will be remembered and missed by his loving wife of 40 years, Maria Garcia Juarez; his children, Claudia and Diana Vazquez; his grandchildren, Isabel, Jr., David, Rafael, Ryan, Kayla, Kaylee, Kelly, Jr., Rafael; his great-grandchildren, Neveah and Keishla; his siblings, Jesus Vazquez, Rito Vazquez, Guadalupe Vazquez and Maia de los Angeles Vazquez.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 11am until time of service at 12:15pm at Skyway Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, 5200 US Highway 19N, Palmetto in the Mausoleum Chapel. Fr Kristian Villafana of Holy Cross Catholic Church will officiate.
