Richard George Bateman's Obituary
Richard George Bateman, 77, went to rest at the feet of Jesus August 25th, 2014. He was born April 9th, 1937 in Port Huron, Michigan to the late George and Mary (Cornell) Bateman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one grandchild, one great-grandchild and his sister, Marjorie.
He moved to Florida in 1978 from Michigan and worked for Tropicana for 20 years. He was a multi equipment operator and retired in 1999. Richard enjoyed walking and reading and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Left to cherish his memory, are his wife Georgetta; daughters, Linda Ling of Michigan, Julie Schuler of Clearwater, Nicole Sauer of Brandenton, Kim Bateman of Clearwater, Georgetta Parmann of Sarasota; sons, Doug Parmann of Wimuama and Keith Parmann of New Jersey; brother, Gerald Bateman of Port Huron, Michigan; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation on Sunday, August 31st, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Skyway Memorial Funeral Home, Glass Chapel, 5200 US Highway 19 N., Palmetto, Florida 34221.
