Richard A McMurray's Obituary
Richard A. McMurray, 77, of Bradenton, FL passed away April 29, 2016. Dick was born in Freemont, Indiana to the late; Leon and Carma Dunnavan McMurray. His family moved to Florida in 1956. He met and married his high school sweetheart, Frances McCaghren and they would spend the next 57 years together. Dick owned and operated his own paint and body shop, McMurray's Auto Painting, in Ellenton for 15 years. He also worked as a mechanic working on outboard motors, small gas engines and lawn motors. Dick was a man with a strong work ethic that he proudly passed on to his 3 sons. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time and spending time with his family. He was a member of Life Covenant Sanctuary.
Richard McMurray is survived by his beloved wife, Frances McMurray, of Bradenton, FL, sons; Patrick (Kimberly) McMurray, of Powder Springs, GA, Alan (Tommy) McMurray, of Bradenton, FL, Wayne McMurray, of Bradenton, FL, brother, Joe (Patty) McMurray, of Henry, TN, sisters; Leone (Gwen) Wilburn, of Bradenton, Melody McMurray, of Bradenton and grandchildren; Travis, Taylor, Mandi, Brittany and Sean McMurray.
A celebration of Dick's life will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 1:00-3:00 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Skyway Memorial Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.skywaymemorial.com
