Robert P Miller's Obituary
Robert P. Miller, 81, passed away October 10th, 2014. He was born July 14th, 1933 in Middlefield, Ohio to the late Peter and Mattie (Byler) Miller. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-mother, Ada; sisters, Katie Schrock and Barbara Hershberger; brothers, Eli, Dan, Urie, Noah and Andy; and grandson, Joshua; step-siblings, Anna, Raymond, John, Mose, Mary and Joni.
“Bob” came to Sarasota on October 9th, 1977 from Johnsville, Ohio. Prior to that, they resided in East Clairdon, Geauga County, Ohio. He was a member of Abundant Life Church and founder of Bob Miller Masonry (BMMI). He enjoyed golf, horses, vacations, resorts and spending time with his family who he loved so much.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Betty; children, Sherry Coblentz and her husband Norm of Fanning Springs, Florida; Ken Miller and his wife Janice of Sarasota, Florida; Jan Troyer and her husband Merle of Sarasota; Karen Stoltzfus and her husand Dave of Bryson City, North Carolina; and Rod Miller and his wife Judy of Sarasota, Florida; brother, Crist Miller and his wife Maryalice of Middlefield, Ohio; step-sisters, Elizabeth, Dorothy, Amanda, Ada and Nettie; step-brother, Noah Troyer; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation on Monday, October 13th, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Abundant Life Church, 6461 Proctor Road, Sarasota, Florida and Tuesday, October 14th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM also at Abundant Life Church. Committal service will be Tuesday at 2:30 PM at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, Florida. Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday at 6:30 PM at Bayside Community Church, 8200 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, Florida.
