Roby Dean Hott's Obituary
Roby Dean Hott, presently of Freedom Village Bradenton, FL., formerly of Greenfield, IN, passed away late on October 14, 2018, at his home in FL.
Born March 24, 1927 in East Gary, IN, he was the son of George and Pearl (Moltz) Hott. He married his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Helen (Stanley) of Gary, IN, who preceded him in death on November 25, 2004. He is survived by his wife of almost 13 years, Susan (Stum) Hott of Zionsville, IN.
Other survivors include his daughters, Karen Ann Lund of Tucson, AZ and Robyn Lynn Gunnoe of Coatesville, IN, and son, Randal Jay Hott of San Diego, CA. He has ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Roby was preceded in death recently by his son, Jeffery Wayne Hott. He was also preceded by his siblings, Georganna Vale, Jay Hott, and Patsy Hott.
Roby enjoyed playing golf, fishing (especially the annual fly-in trips to Canada for over 40 years), watching sports, and seeing his grandkids. He was an early organizer of the Greenfield Presbyterian Church Strawberry Festival. Roby was a lifetime member of several Presbyterian churches, currently Kirkwood Presbyterian. He retired from Naval Avionics in 1982. He then was a partner in Robisan Laboratories for over 25 years.
A memorial service will be held Friday, October 26th at 10:30 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 116 W South St, Greenfield, IN 46140.
