Ronald John Butler's Obituary
Ronald John Butler, 84, of Parrish, FL passed away October 21, 2024, at Lakewood Ranch Hospice House. Ronald was born April 26th, 1940, in Winthrop, MA. The son of John J and Florence (Bois ) Butler. Ronald was proud to serve his country as a US Marine and earned a Good Conduct Medal. Following his military service, he held a career as a union sheet metal worker in Massachusetts. Ronald was a proud member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 17 for 60 years.
Ronald married the love of his life; Judith Gonzales and they celebrated 62 years of marriage. Ronald is survived by his children, Dawn Kramer of Decatur, IL, Brian Butler (Lisa) of Sandown, NH, Lynne Barry (Garrett) of Bedford, NH, Nancy Woods (Scott) of Litchfield, NH, Rachel Butler of Loudon, NH, and Erin Daley (James) of Danville, NH.
Ronald is also survived by his siblings, Carolyn Brown (George) of Danvers, MA, Laurene Colford of Bedford, MA, and Sharon Marchionda (Paul) of Lynnfield, MA. He is predeceased by brother Donald Butler and sister Eleanor Landers.
Ronald leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren with 1 more on the way. Ronald loved to talk and cherished phone calls from all his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was a proud grandfather and was loved dearly by all his grandchildren. These include Katherine Maple, Colton Kramer,
Quinn Kramer, Brianna Butler, Kyle Butler, Riley Barry, Matthew Woods, Christopher Woods, Hayden Huson, Lilly Daley, James Daley and great grandchildren Brooklyn Kramer and Braylen Maple.
Ronald raised racing pigeons starting at a very young age with his father, John. Ronald was a champion pigeon racer with many elite awards and victories. He also had a love for animals and was an avid outdoorsman. Ronnie and Judy have had many faithful dogs, and their German Shephard Elsa will miss him dearly.
In later years he moved to Florida to enjoy life with Judy. They were married for 62 years after meeting at A Dunkin' Donuts in Stoneham, MA. Ronnie and Judy would often celebrate their wedding Anniversary in the Bahamas with family and friends, times they all cherished.
Burial will be at New Hampshire State Veterans cemetery, Boscawen, NH on November 18, 2024 at 11:00 am.
