Rosemary was a Special Aide teacher for more than 20 years. She was a very caring, and very loved lady, by her co-workers and her special needs students at the Bullock School and at Bayshore High School for many years.

Her special and loyal friend Ginny had never once heard Rosemary complain about her job. She truly loved all her students, and the love was returned in so many ways. Rosemary loved children and proved it by the care she gave so willingly to the special needs students.

During her long illness she stood her ground. She was a very strong minded lady. At her toughest times she somehow always managed to smile. At the very end she became helpless. She was a reside at Brookdale Senior Living in Bradenton, Florida. To the staff, residents, and especially the nursing department, a very special thanks to Fran and Autumn. All of them gave her the attention and the love she needed.

Her special person Ginny thought the world of her Rosemary, rest in peace.

I shall dearly miss my one and only sister. We have shared many years together. Like all siblings we had our ups and downs, rounds of petty children's fights with throwing tantrums and books but interspersed with loving days of shared fun. I was the studious one. Rory was the athlete. As the years passed she could give detailed information and statistics especially about pro football. She had five children sadly one of whom is deceased. her handicapped daughter inspired Rory to devote much of her working life to assisting handicapped children, first as a bus driver and then in the classroom. Our families enjoyed many a weekend or board games, cards and whatever moved us at the time. These weekends went back and forth between our homes. As a sports enthusiast, Rory supported her children's participation in school athletics. She was a marvelous cook making so many delicious meals from scratch. Her culinary expertise was abetted by her home grown vegetables many of which she canned for use through the year. I remember a large closet in her home with many shelves holding the multitude of he canned specials. After her husbands early death our paths separated. My family and I remained in Maryland while Rosemary moved to Florida. Since our parents had retired to Florida also, we kept in close contact during our periodic visits. She shared a great relationship with her friend, Jinny, whom we thank for aiding Rory through a multitude of health problems primarily with multiple heart attacks, surgeries and cardiovascular problems. In later years vascular dementia took its toll and Rory slowly faded into forgetfulness but remained a vibrant and loving angel. Her fellow residents in her assisted living facility shared their love, friendship and support for my sister who never lost her kind personality and gentleness. I shall miss her so very much. Rory, may God bless and keep you close.

Rosemary was like a second mother to me at times. She was my mother Ginny's life partner of 31 years. She was so good to me and my mother. The two of them worked together for many years and took lots of vacations together too. With Rosemary doing the driving! I remember seeing the two of them laughing a lot.

It was so hard to watch such a vibrant, aware woman slowly lose her mental capacities. This left a void in our lives for a long time before she passed away. She will be missed, cherished, and loved by us all. I know that she left behind a lot more than she ever took away. It breaks my heart that her family has to grieve over the loss of someone so special. May God Bless her family, friends, and all others she touched along the way.

I really loved her and I know she is at peace now.

My mom was a mother to 5, 4 girls and a boy. She spent our growing up years devoted to school and sports. She and my father both coached many sports for many years! She loved to bake during the holidays and travel to Mass. every summer to be with family. She was a wonderful mom and a great friend to many people. She was predeceased by our father, Robert and their daughter, our sister Cheri. Illness took her in a sad way, I'm relieved her soul is in peace now. Thank God for Ginney who took care of her during the very hard years. Thank you all for your condolence.

I wrote a memorial to Rosemary and it somehow disappeared before I could send it so if this is a duplicate please forgive me. Through my many moves, I lost my contact info for Rosemary. This does not mean that I stopped thinking of her as an event would happen and I would think of a comment Rosemary would have made or advice she would have given. She was a wise woman and we had many deep conversations in the years we worked together. This is a deep loss for many. I know she has been well received back home and told that she worked through this life and its challenges in a way that we all should deeply respect. She had many issues that she needed to deal with and find her way through. She deeply loved all her children as well as Ginny. A great testament to that love is her preplanning for the care of Maria and her daughter's willingness to provide that continuity of care that Maria needed. I know it goes without saying that those of you who were lucky enough to have Rosemary in your life are in a great deal of personal pain today. When I had the great loss of my mother someone once said to me," Be very grateful for every bit of that pain, for that is how much love there was between you." Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of a dear friend, loving mother and amazing life companion. Ginny...if there is anything I can do, please feel free to call me.
