Sandy was born March 24th, 1938 in Muncie, Indiana. She graduated from Royerton High School, then
went on to earn a degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University. Following graduation, she
taught 1st grade at Mitchell Elementary School for 5 years in Muncie.
Sandy and David raised their family on the farm. Sandy was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. It
was important to Sandy to create and maintain a nurturing, organized home for her family. She was a
pioneer in the whole foods movement, taking pleasure in growing a garden and preparing healthy,
delicious meals.
Living well and with intention ignited Sandy’s journey into the area of holistic health and wellness. In the

studied and graduated from the Barbara Brennan School of Healing.
Following their career in farming, Sandy and David moved to New England in 1985 where they lived for
25 years. It was in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts that Sandy created a thriving private
practice as a therapist in the field of Holistic Health and Integrative Therapies. She was well-respected
by her clients and colleagues and thoroughly loved her work. She retired in 2005.
Upon retirement, David and Sandy moved to Florida, where they enjoyed living in The Villages and then
in Bradenton near their daughter Jill and her family. The Madills enjoyed many family gatherings and
reunions on Anna Maria Island off the Bradenton coast of Florida over the years.
Sandy will be greatly missed as a loving and inspiring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister
and friend.
