Sharon Kay Brittain's Obituary
Sharon Kay Brittain, 72, of Palmetto, Florida passed away September 26, 2016. Sharon was born July 30, 1944 in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota to the late; Lloyd and Mildred Katherine (nee Ballard) Brittain. Sharon received a business degree and worked as executive secretary for companies such as Farmland and JesCo, both in Kansas City, MO. She later worked for the KC Call Center. After retiring, Sharon moved to Florida 6 years ago to live near her sister, Pat. She helped Pat, who established the First Presbyterian Church of Palmetto thrift shop, by working in the shop for the last 4 years. Sharon was a people person with a contagious smile, was generous and giving to all, above herself. She received great enjoyment from competitively playing computer games and cards with friends. Sharon had a deep love for her feline friends around the neighborhood.
Sharon is survived by her sisters; Patricia (Fred) Banks, of Palmetto, FL, Beverly (Bill) Cave, of Stuart, IA, nephews; William (Debbie) Lewis, of TN, Scott (Allison) Lewis, of MO, Steve (Debbie) Cave, Donnie (Penny) Cave, both of IA, nieces; Sheila Nicholson, Kelley (Chris) Kindt, Jana (Buddy) Jones and numerous great nieces and nephews.
