Shawn Michael Thompson's Obituary
Shawn M. Thompson, 35, of Arcadia, FL passed away unexpectedly, alongside his coworkers, while on the job in Lakewood Ranch on October 31, 2016. Shawn was born and raised in Desoto County, was a member of Pine Level Methodist Church and graduated with the class of 2000. Shawn worked for Danny Via Plumbing for 15 years. Shawn loved life, had a smile that could light a room and was one that never met a stranger. A young man of integrity that always provided the best for his love of 15 years, Chrissy and their 5 year old daughter, Chloe. In his spare time, Shawn enjoyed playing basketball with his brother and nephews, watching Gators football and his favorite NFL team, the Miami Dolphins.
Shawn is survived by his love and companion, Chrissy Pelham, daughter, Chloe Sage Thompson, brother, Gary L. (Dawn) Thompson, parents; Kevin and Sayra Emberton, nephews; Rustin Thompson, Ryland Thompson, Austin Pelham, nieces; Sierra Pelham, Destiny Pelham, Brooklyn Pelham, Tressa Pelham and many friends made throughout the years.
A Celebration of Shawn's Life will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Pine Level Methodist Church, 9596 NW Pine Level St., Arcadia. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shawn's honor may be made to the Shawn Thompson Memorial Fund at SunTrust Bank to benefit his fiancé, Chrissy and daughter, Chloe.
