Sherry Bernstein's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Sherry Bernstein
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sherry Bernstein, 62, who left this world on May 28th, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed peacefully at her home, surrounded by family.
Sherry was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Known for her kindness, resilience, and unwavering love for her family, she touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity. Her quiet strength carried her through life’s challenges, and her compassion was a constant comfort to those around her.
Sherry had a spark—she loved puzzles, the challenge and satisfaction of making things fit. She loved karate and muscle cars, things that were strong, bold, and full of energy—just like her. Sherry was competitive by nature, she always put her best into everything but made sure to have fun, especially when it came to scaring her nephew, Brandon.
She had a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life—whether it was spending time with her loved ones, tending to her plants, or sharing a heartfelt conversation over a glass of wine with her niece, Casey. Sherry had a way of making people feel seen and heard, and her presence brought light to every room she entered.
Sherry is survived by her devoted husband, Jack Bernstein; her son Cameron Cressman; her daughters Amber and Shaina Bernstein; her grandson Greyson Cressman; her sister Tammy (Wayne) Fischbach; and her mother Dorothy Hovey of Bradenton, FL, who will carry forward her legacy of love, strength, and grace.
A celebration of Sherry’s life will be held 2:00 PM, June 6th, 2025, at the Skyway Memorial Gardens, Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Mausoleum Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue, in honor of Sherry’s deep love for animals - https://nateshonoranimalrescue.org/donate/
Though her absence leaves a profound ache in our hearts, Sherry’s spirit will remain with us always—in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
