Shirley Jean Mettille-Wagner's Obituary
Shirley Jean Mettille-Wagner, 79 of Bradenton, FL died on January 26, 2024. Shirley attended Morris Community Public Schools , after graduation she went to work at the Morris Paper Mill. She married John Mettille, they later moved to Florida. She continued her work career at Orange Ridge School. She then worked further for Florida State at Vocational Rehab for over 30 years.
She was a life long member of the Nazarene Church. She was also a member and President of MADD.
She married her second husband Roger Wagner. She was a devoted mother and wife. Shirley enjoyed traveling, painting, and quilting.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband John Mettille, her son Michael, her brother Alfred Decker, and her parents Leo and Helen Decker.
She is survived by her son Mark Mettille of Morris, IL, her husband Roger Wager, grandson, great grandchildren, siblings: Judy Kowalczyk of Colorado, Ricky Decker of Bradenton, FL, Gary Decker and Todd Decker of Lake City, FL.
