Sue Ellen Picker's Obituary
With profound sadness, we announce Sue Ellen Picker has passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, August 6th, 2020. She was 71 years old. Born and raised in Missouri, Sue graduated from Central Missouri State University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. She went on to raise 11 children of whom she was incredibly proud. Whether with words of encouragement, a tidbit of wisdom, or a gentle reminder that we are all students at the School of Hard Knocks, Sue had a remarkable ability to comfort her loved ones, and ensured they were all safe and happy. This unexpected loss of an exceptional mother, sister and friend leaves a void that can never be filled. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Georgianne Pinnell, brother Mike Pinnell, and granddaughter, Lena Noel Rogers.
She is survived by 11 children: Benjamin Picker, Myakka Fl, Adam Picker, Modesto, CA, Christian Lemley, Cedar Rapids, IA, Samuel Picker, Plainfield, IN, Joseph Picker, Hudson, FL, Sarah Rogers, Bradenton, FL, Isaac Picker, Orlando, FL, Daniel Picker, Bradenton, FL, Hannah Tootle, Cocoa, FL, Ruth Picker, Palmetto, FL, Philip Picker, Parrish, FL 6 siblings: Ann Tobin, Union, MO, Jon Pinnell, Union, MO, Patrick Pinnell, Union, MO, Dennis Pinnell, Union, MO, Mary Wood, Columbia, MO, Becky Waters, Denver, CO; 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren who affectionately called her “Grandma Soup”; and a host of other family and friends.
