Svenn Iversen's Obituary
On Friday November 4 Svenn Birger Iversen beloved Father and Papa passed away at the age of 77 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Alfred and Marie Iversen on December 19 1944 in Ballstad Norway. He was the youngest of his 5 brothers Arne, Jon, Tor, Kjell and Bjorn.
At the age of 15 he traveled to sea for the first time. After several years he returned to Norway to start his dream and he trained at Coxwain School in Kristiansund to become a ship Navigator. After he accomplished this he was sailing all around the world and stopped at the port in Corpus Christie Texas and met a beautiful lady named Mary and that was that. They settled in Florida with their 2 daughters Ann and Donna. Svenn then started as a painters apprentice and did that for a few years before he decided he wanted to start his own business and that is what he did. He started his own Painting business called Iversen's Painting and he shined bright. His business card said it all and he proved he was the "Best Painter in town" Svenn loved his family and enjoyed every moment they were together. He was infamous for never forgetting a birthday or any holiday for that matter. He always made sure everyone he loved around him was doing OK.
He is survived by his 2 daughters
Donna and Ann (Craig)
His 8 Grandchildren
Amber (Dale) , Mercedis, Roberto, Lizzy, Aidan, Daniel and Jacob
His 6 Great grandchildren
Bailey, Evelyn, Victor, Emma , Cohen and Kelsea
His 2 brothers Kjell and Bjorn and their children, his nieces and nephews and the rest of his loving extended family in Norway
And his Best Buddy Gunner the Golden Retriever.
A visitation will be Saturday November 12 from 11am-12pm with a service beginning to at 12pm at Skyway Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens 5200 US Highway 19 Palmetto, FL 34221.
