Vernetta Maxine McMillan's Obituary
Vernetta Maxine McMillan was born in Bradenton, Florida and was educated in the public schools of Manatee County. In 1973, she graduated from Southeast High School in Samoset, Florida. In 1982, she attended Albert Merrill School of Technology in New York City where she received her Certificate in Computer Programming/ Data Entry in 1983.
Vernetta McMillan pursued her career working in the Technical Field as a Computer Operator. Since her time here in Manatee County, she has worked in the field of education for Sarasota and Manatee County Schools as a teacher-aide, bus attendant and in clerical positions.
Most importantly, Vernetta was a “Born Again Christian.” She was a member of St. Paul M. B. Church, Bradenton, Florida, a part of the Women of Faith (WOF) Ministry, participated in Sunday School, and attended church regularly when her health allowed.
Venetta was the daughter of the late Pastor James Aubrey McMillan, Sr., and Mrs. Vanzetta Hicks McMillan. She leaves to mourn her passing, her brothers, Elder James Aubrey McMillan, Jr. (Sherry) Keith McMillan, her sister/niece, Ms. Kesha McMillan, her aunt, Ms. Doris Hicks (White Plains, NY), nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, a host of loving cousins, friends, and special friends, Mrs. Sharon Blue and Ms. Delores Johnson.
Services will be held on Friday January 6, 2023 from 10-11am and a service at 11am at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church 525 Martin Luther King Ave E, Bradenton, FL 34208. Please check back for full obituary.
