Violet Nadine Blair's Obituary
Mom loved God, Family and Hershey Kisses. Mom went on to Heaven August 29, 2014 at the age of 89. She left those who survived her great peace that she will spend eternity in Heaven. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Arvin Blair, Sr., her siblings Van Patterson, Joyce Abney, Vincent Patterson and Maxine Gay. When the church doors were open Mom was there giving praise for the blessings she received. She was most grateful for her family. She was a genealogist and had charted her family back to the 1700's and over 400 names in history. Family reunions were filled with fantastic memories. Lots of laughter, aromas from the kitchen, and of course her favorite treats, Hershey Kisses. She is survived by her sons Lloyd Blair, Jr., James Blair and Darryl Blair, daughter Carol Willis, (Dan), grandson Lee Willis, granddaughters Jaclyn Blair, Christa Landram, (Robert), Shenera Blair, great granddaughter Brooklynn Landram and great grandson Mykah Langford. In celebration of Mom's life, friends and family are invited to the service at Elwood Park Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with visitation at 10:00 AM on September 5, 2014. The best mother ever and going to heaven is a cause to celebrate. Job well done Mom!
