W. Lorraine LeRoy's Obituary
W. Lorraine LeRoy, 85, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away Friday, March 20th, 2015 – 2:15pm at Manatee Memorial Hospital from complications of pneumonia. Lorraine was born in Elkins, West Virginia on August 21st, 1929 and was the first of eight children of Markley and Ruby Elbon. She married Louis Snider in 1947 and had three sons: Neil, David, and Stan Snider. She later remarried to James LeRoy in 1962. James had five children: Linda Bittinger, Gail Salsgiver, James LeRoy (deceased), Michael LeRoy, and Cindy LeRoy Bates. Lorraine and James had one daughter together, Brenda Fenimore (deceased). Jim and Lorraine owned their own general store by Lake Erie in Madison, Ohio. They retired to Florida in 1978. Lorraine was very involved in her church, The First Church of the Nazarene and loved singing in the choir. Music was very important to her, especially religious music. She also enjoyed gardening; Orchids were her favorite flower. Lorraine is survived by: her husband of 53 years, Jim LeRoy; Siblings: Bill, Joe, Bob, and Ken Elbon, Dolores Flint and her 53 combined grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial will be held to honor and remember Lorraine’s wonderful spirit at The First Church of the Nazarene in Bradenton (1616 59th Street-Bradenton, FL (941) 794-1685) at 3:00pm on Tuesday, March 31st.
