Warren Wesley Baumbarger's Obituary
Warren W. Baumbarger, 89, of Palmetto, FL passed away September 27, 2016 in Ellenton, FL. Warren, 1 of 6 children, was born on January 24, 1927 in Waterville, Ohio to the late; Charley and Carrie Etta (nee Cole) Baumbarger. He joined the US Navy April 17, 1944 and was stationed on the USS Mount Olympus during WWII. He proudly served our great nation and received the American Area Campaign Medal, as well as the WWII Victory Medal. Warren was honorably discharged October 27, 1947. Following the war, Warren began working for the American Shipbuilding Company of Toledo, OH. With a strong work ethic and determination, Warren worked his way up to Boilermaker. During his tenure here, he joined Boilermaker Local 85 Union, Toledo. November 2, 1963, Warren married his hometown sweetheart, Diana Baumberger. Together, they spent 53 wonderful years together, traveling, camping, visiting family, grandkids and playing cards with friends, golf cart rides around the park, and going out to dinner. Warren was always a Mr. Fix It man. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, grandpa and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Warren Baumbarger is survived by his beloved wife, Diana Baumbarger, of Palmetto, FL, sons; Warren (Marcia) Baumbarger, Jr., of Franklinton, NC, Dan Baumbarger, of Markleville, IN, Frank (Cindy) Baumbarger, of Weston, OH, Jack Baumbarger, of Portage, OH, daughters; H. Chris (Frank) Hunsberger, of Grand Rapids, OH, Mary (Rick) Snyder, of Bowling Green, OH, many, many grandchildren, many great, great, grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
There have not been any services scheduled at this time. Mr. Baumbarger's final resting place will be at a later date in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Grand Rapids, OH.
