Willie O Tedder's Obituary
On the afternoon of February 2nd, Willie Tedder of Bradenton, Florida went to be with our Lord and Savior a the age of 90. He was born in Ruskin, Florida to Chris and Nellie Tedder in 1932. He served in the US Army from May 1951 until April 1954. Reaching the rank of PFC. On September of 1954 he was married to Sara Lee Peterson of Old Town, Florida. They had two daughters: Wilene and Brenda. The family lived in Tampa until moving to Bradenton. Willie worked as a tomato farmer and farm supervisor until 2013. He was an avid race car owner and builder. Willie worked many years at DeSoto Dragstrip and was the pit steward of DeSoto Speedway and Charlotte County Speedway. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Sara. He is survived by 2 daughters and their husbands, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren with a new arrival expected in September. Graveside service will be held at Skyway Memorial Funeral Home 5200 US Highway 19 Palmetto, FL 34221 on Saturday February 11 at 1pm.
