Wilma Alderman Adams' Obituary
Wilma A. Adams, 87, of Palmetto, FL passed away on January 14, 2016. Wilma was born in Georgia to the late; Ivey and Bessie (Arnold) Campbell. Wilma was one of 9 children. Her family moved to Florida when she was 8 years old. Wilma was of the Baptist faith. Throughout her working years, she was employed by Lechmere Dept. Store and Pro Battery in Georgia. While in Florida she worked as a receptionist and dental assistant, as well as a bookkeeper for Ferrel Gas and John Deere. She married James E. Adams in 1991 and they enjoyed their time together playing darts, golfing, dancing, traveling and adventures.
Wilma is survived by her husband of 25 years, James Adams, sons; Michael E. (Lucy) Alderman, David W. (Dianne) Alderman, sisters; Willene Stearn, Jackie Nangle, grandchildren; Scott, Kevin, Joshua, Cameron, great grandchildren; Caitlin, Bethany, Karissa, Justin, Dylan and great great granddaughter, Addison. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
A visitation will be held at Skyway Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 10:30 am. The service will begin at approximately 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Skyway Memorial Gardens.
