Doris Patricia Scherette's Obituary
Doris Patricia Scherette, 83, passed away April 26th, 2015. She was born September 26th, 1931 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Walter and Margaret (Gates) Meyers.
Doris managed a retirement community and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She enjoyed painting, writing, dancing (especially the Jitterbug), baking custom cakes and cooking creative grilled cheese sandwiches for her grandson.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Mike Scherette and his wife Maggie of Palmetto; brothers, Bud Myers and his wife Norma of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jack Meyers of Schneider, Indiana; grandsons, Josh and Marc; and “coming soon” great-grandson, Wyatt.
There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Glass Chapel at Skyway Memorial Funeral Home, 5200 US Highway 19 N., Palmetto, Florida. Interment will follow.
