Edward George Berg's Obituary
Edward Berg, 76, of Parrish, Florida, passed away on June 5, 2025. He lived most of his life in the Chicagoland area. He spent his career as a CPA and later on as a CFO of several companies. He retired to Florida with his wife to spend more time with his kids and grandkids.
Ed was known for his sharp wit and warm sense of humor, always quick with a joke—especially when it came to delighting his grandchildren. His greatest joy was making others laugh and feel loved. He was an enthusiastic game player, and also enjoyed reading his grandchildren books "with emphasis."
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and his brother. He is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn, his sister, his four children, their spouses, and his twelve cherished grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the Harrison Ranch Clubhouse, 5755 Harrison Ranch Blvd, Parrish, FL 34219. Friends and neighbors are welcome to join from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. A private family gathering will follow from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause close to his heart: https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html
