To Cheryl, Mark, Josh and all of Jane's family:
The friendship between Jane and began in the late 1989. We quickly found a common thread of comradery and friendship based upon our backgrounds in the marine industry, our personality traits and our twisted sense of humor. In 1995, after I made a career change and accepted a position with Wellcraft Boats in Sarasota as Director of Materials, I quickly gave Jane a call to invite her into my Purchasing staff. She didn't hesitate to say yes. Jane's attention to detail, strong work ethic and respect from suppliers and associates alike earned her the reputation as one of the "Best" to work and deal with in the marine community. No matter what level of stress she endured, or the hours required to accomplish a project, Jane would diligently work 'til the bitter end, and always with a smile on her face.
As we both moved on within our respective marine careers, we stayed very close in touch. I was fortunate to have shared personal time with her as recent as December 19, 2015 while attending her grandson's UFC fight in Orlando. Her love of family and dedication to her very close friends will always be remembered of her. That......and her infectious smile and laughter. Jane was a great friend.....the elder sister that I never had.
I loved Jane Melton, was honored to be a part of her life.......and she will be sorely missed during the remainder of my life. R.I.P.
