Rita E. Roy's Obituary
Rita E. Roy, 72, of Bradenton, Florida passed away on July 7, 2016. Rita was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on May 12, 1944, to the late; Alfred L. Gagnon and Olive Garcia. She graduated high school in 1962 and married her high school sweetheart, Thomas P. Roy, in 1963. They moved from Stratford, CT to Florida in 1987. She worked in Accounts Payable for such companies as Tropicana, GE and eventually retired from Callahan Tire in 2014. Rita was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bradenton. Her greatest love of all was for her family. Rita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and sister. She will be deeply missed.
Rita is survived by her husband of 53 years, Thomas P. Roy, of Bradenton, FL, sons; Michael (Angelina) Roy, of Bradenton, FL, Thomas (Kristine) Roy, Jr., of West Haven, CT, brother, Paul (Judy) Gagnon, of Swansea, MA, sister, Jean (Stanley) Brown, of The Villages, FL, grandchildren; Kashmir Roy, Ashley McCaherty, Thomas Roy, III, great grandchildren; Shelby, Rowan and Kaylee. Rita was preceded in death by her parents and brothers; Kenny Gagnon, Richard Gagnon and David Gagnon.
