....So many wonderful memories of Aunt Ruie. Whenever I think of her I see her laughing (most of the time at herself!!). I don't think I have ever met anyone who coped so well with the 'curved ball' that was thrown to her at such an early age. Precious memories of our sailing trip in the Grenadines, when she was happy to have a lifesaving ring put around her and be pulled behind a dingy so that we could all go ashore and have drinks on the beach! She was fun loving and always ready to participate in whatever adventure was going on at the time.....never wanting to be left out, and she never was. She was loving and caring, and, in turn, was loved and cared for by her beloved Fred, Dianne, Nita and Iris....I will always be grateful for having been given the opportunity to know and love her, to learn to deal with the challenges of life by following her example. It's difficult to sit here in Barbados and write this, especially so soon after doing a similar thing for Uncle Freddie last September....and I know it must be doubly difficult for you three girls, and for the whole family. You are much in our thoughts and prayers. Love you, Katy, Barry and Rachel.
