A Tribute to Tarenthea M. Davis: My First Neighbor and Forever Friend
I first met Tarrey twenty-five years ago when I moved into the condo above hers. Tarrey was the first person to welcome me; she and her sweet dog Britt.
For five years, Tarrey would often talk about moving out to find a larger home. Year after year would pass, and Tarrey was still at the Condo. So, when I finally began the process of moving after my five-year tenure there, Tarrey asked for my realtor’s information—and from that moment, we were off to the races. Tarrey became so motivated that after half a decade of hesitation, she managed to pack up and move out a full month before I even had my boxes taped shut. I always found it so ironic and funny that she beat me to the finish line, moving into her new home a full month before I did!
But moving out didn't mean moving on. We stayed in touch and maintained our friendship from our new homes until the day she passed.
Once Tarrey sets her mind to something, she accomplishes exactly what she sets out to do—earning her degree, achieving promotions, and purchasing a new home, etc. What a determined spirit.
Tarrey, you will be truly missed; however, I know God’s got you safely in His Tender Love and Care—continued prayers of Comfort and Peace to the Family of my friend, Tarenthea M. Davis.
God Bless
